Course Install and Clean-up Day... TAKE 2- Saturday, May 14th starting at 9:00AM
Come out and meet the Indy Skiers members new, old and future. This is a perfect opportunity to give back to our blue collar club that asks very little of the community in which it serves. Come help install the course, clean up the park grounds, and enjoy snacks provided by Indy Skiers. You don't have to be a member to participate and it's a great way to get a feel for the core group of Skiers that respect the priviledge we are granted each year.
IWSA / RHI Charity Golf Outing at Southern Dunes Country Club- Thursday, May 26th starting at 11:00 AM
For more information and to sign up, click the link below! This is the only fundraising event that IWSA sponsors each year, so please come out and support local skiing and Rehab Hospital of Indianapolis, an Indy Skier's partner in performance.
Spring Fling- June 5th at Fairland Ski Club 12:00 noon to 5:00 PM
Come out and converse with fellow Indiana skiers in this season opening event hosted graciously by Fairland Ski Club. Free food, drinks, skiing and wakeboarding offered by IWSA. IWSA membership's available day of the event along with USA Water Ski memberships. Great Day, Great Site, Great People, Great Skiing!
"WILL IT SKI"!?!- Club Fun day and cookout- Saturday, June 11th starting at 11:00AM.
If the name doesn't say it all, "will it ski"? Bring your found object for a competition of bias results! "Will it Ski" challenges those willing participants to bring thier non-traditional water apparatus for a day of mockery, tom-foolery, and all out insanity for a chance at the coveted travelling trophy in this 1st annual event. Don't worry, real skiing with be permissable for those not willing to risk life and limb for the sake of youtube glory!
Indy Skiers Ability Water Ski Training Series - June 16th through August 25th 2011
We will operate the Indy Skiers Ability Water Ski Training Series weekly, based out of Municipal Gardens Family Center, 1831 N. Lafayette Road, Indpls, IN 46222. This series is geared towards people who have skied before and have an interest in learning to ski the slalom course for the first time or who would like to improve their skills. The Training Series will start on June 17th, and will run every Thursday night, through September 16th. Starting time is at 5:00pm and runs until dark. The running order is generated in the order that people arrive. Cost of each event is $15 for non-members or $10 for Indy Skiers members. For non-USA Water Ski members a guest membership can be purchased at the event for $7.00. This is an additional fee to those listed above.
Learn to Ski Days - July 16th & August 13st 2011
Would you like to learn to water ski? Do you know how to swim? This is your chance. The Indy Skiers will be hosting two learn to ski days based out of the Municipal Gardens Family Center, 1831 N. Lafayette Road, Indpls, IN 46222. Everyone is welcome. The event will start at 9am and run until 3pm. The cost is $10.
